Morts High quality songwriting and execution on this EP! Excellent proggy power metal here, Joelle's voice is strong and clear, the playing is tight and incredibly professional for a debut outing. Compelling stuff! Favorite track: Hide.

Craig Rettig The lead singer Joelle has an amazing voice. In addition, the band has a very mature and "full" sound that I really enjoy. Favorite track: Winter.

Hide 04:21
HIDE (A.Robitaille, E.Lee / A.Robitaille) No one can you turn to. And nowhere can you go. Don’t deny it, it is part of you. Deep within your thoughts and sealed without a light, with countless images of all you left behind. Nowhere you can hide. You’re clutching at your side. Living with Mister Hyde all the time. The wind carries a song, a lonely melody. A chorus of life of which you are denied. Nowhere you can hide. You’re clutching at your side. Living with Mister Hyde all the time. Walking on a tightrope. No safety net in sight. Your feel the thrust, you sense the hunger. It is in you. Nowhere you can hide. You’re clutching at your side. Living with Mister Hyde all the time. There’s no way out of here. Nothing else but broken tears. They’ll be no turning back of the tide.

Camera 03:35
CAMERA (A.Robitaille, E.Lee / E.Langlois) It’s a light year from your starry eyes to my plight. It’s a split second and you’re out of sight. Still blind in the camera of your million midnights. Your regards are offered to the distance. And my false eyes can’t stand this stance. Still I miss your blinding light. In the dark of the night. In my camera, in my camera. Your nothing but delight. You have no image but your stillness is all it takes to bring me light. You have so many colors. I can read your tempera smile. And if you call me black, I guess I’ll call you white. In the dark of the night. In my camera, in my camera. Your nothing but delight.

Why 04:26
WHY (A.Robitaille ) I first came into the world lonely and scared. Wishing that life would shine so bright, it should not be this way. We’ll go out reaching for starlight. Searching the seven stars. But you came here and you lied. All this was not meant to be. You came here and you lied. Under the moon and the sea. I thought you were the only one. You are the queen. You said I had to come to the end of this bitter life. Now I am all alone searching the seven seas. But you came here and you lied. All this was not meant to be. You came here and you lied. Under the moon and the sea. You follow every footsteps I make into the crowded streets. But still I am all alone without you, a stranger alone. Now we are all alone searching the seven stars. But you came here and you lied. All this was not meant to be. You came here and you lied. All this was not meant to be. You came here and you lied. Under the moon and the sea.

Empty 04:36
EMPTY (A.Robitaille / E.Langlois) I’m so exquisitely empty and I surprise myself to caress the tide no matter what the sea will say. The water has no memory, no feelings and no say in my obscure desire to cry and to die. Howl hollow heart lest hunger meet desire. Howl empty heart. We’ll consume in time. I’m so exquisitely empty and I surprise myself to swallow the flames no matter what the pyre will say. The fire has no memory, no feelings and no say in my obscure desire to melt and to die. Howl hollow heart lest hunger meet desire. Howl empty heart. We’ll consume in time. I’m so exquisitely empty and I surprise myself to breathe once more no matter what the earth will say. The soil has no memory, no feelings and no say in my obscure desire to wait and to pray. Until I don’t lie here with you my soul is not free. I’m so exquisitely empty until comes back… What’s been carried away from me. What’s been carried away from me. What’s been carried away from me. What’s been carried away from me. From me.
5.
The Fall 04:31
THE FALL (A.Robitaille / E.Langlois) Oh how I witnessed you for many years and more. Whenever I stare at you you’re the saint and me the whore. The gold on my wings changed to dust on your veil. I implore the Name in vain like if you were mine. One last touch of heaven before the fall. One last touch of heaven before the fall. Different nature different shades, I was bound to Heaven. But now I am falling from grace. I’m falling from grace. And the softness of your song is a balm on my wounds. Wing it to me once more. Our love’s already doomed. One last touch of heaven before the fall. One last touch of heaven before the fall. I will fall my way down through ether and through time. I will wink my love down. And if God only knew, He would turn is back on me too. One last touch of heaven before the fall. One last touch of heaven before the fall.

Winter 05:12
WINTER (A.Robitaille / E.Langlois) You’re such a winter. What I remember. The braid, the thorn. Your naked body and the storm. You’re such a winter. You taunt, you faint. You come undone. At the heart of my heart I feel the scorn. You’re such a winter. You’re so, so, so. You’re such a winter. I call you slow, snow, slow. You’re such a winter. When your lipstick crashes on my open wound I lose my sense ability at the core of your tomb. You’re such a winter. A package of silence. A maid of whiteness. At the heart of my heart I feel the scorn. You’re such a winter. You’re so, so, so. You’re such a winter. I call you slow, snow, slow.
